Don proposed to Chris at Shed Park during a little leage baseball game with Chris's younger sisters and brothers. 
A week before the proposal Don went to Chris's mother and asked for her hand in marriage. 
Chris's mother was excited and over joyed but had to keep the secret for a week which was driving her crazy.
